The Omnivoyant Eyes of Christ

Recently, I began to read the writings of Christian mystics

who lived in the Middle Ages. This might seem odd to some of you, but it was the result of seeking our omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient God. Our Creator. I wondered what others who had sought Him had found. I discovered [Read more…]

A BLESSING

I am so honored to announce that The Next Target

has been nominated for Book of the Year (fiction) by The Book Club Network. But there is another story here that I want to share. [Read more…]

WALK IN HIS VICTORY

This morning I was complaining to the Lord about a lot of things.

The lack of victory in my life in many areas – forgiving people who have deeply hurt me – allowing fear to rob me of my joy – worrying about things I can’t control – and I could go on. My guess is [Read more…]

READERS SHARE . . .

In my last post WANTED – YOUR BURDENS!!, I ask my

blog followers to share things God has shown them or things that have happened that they don’t understand, or special experiences they’ve had with God. [Read more…]

WANTED – YOUR BURDENS!!

WANTED – YOUR  BURDENS!!

I blog, therefore I am. I love to blog. I especially love to blog about things that Christ has shown me as He walks with me. Often they are life-changing lessons that I want to share with others so they will be encouraged. I would really like to hear from you and blog about things that are common to us all. I would love it if you would write to me about something God has shown you, or something you wish He would explain to you. Like – this thing happened and I learned this. OR Like – This thing happened and I cannot understand why. This request was promted in me this morning as I thought about the verse – Bear one another’s burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ. I will blog about the things I receive and others can comment and share what God has shown them about that thing. Just close your eyes for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to prompt you if He has something for you to share. A burden or a blessing. You can comment here, or you can write to me at nikki@nikkiarana.com.

SPIRITUAL TRUTH #38 . . .

Those of you who know me well, know that in 1998

I began to pray that God would show me truth. Not the truth about something, but truth. “God, what is truth?” I prayed. Within one month I had to amend that prayer because the first truth He showed me was that God’s truth and man’s truth are not the same. I began to pray, “God show me Your truth.” Over these last 14 years He has revealed 37 spiritual truths to me. [Read more…]

IS WHAT HE SAYS TRUE?

This morning I woke up at 4AM. And immediately

all the things that I have to face today came flooding into my mind. Within moments I was overwhelmed with the circumstances of my life. We have to move soon from the house we’ve lived in for eighteen years to a small condo that is one quarter of the size of our home. I have to get a book written in the next few months and I am not just on [Read more…]

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR WRITERS

I had a desire to write on my blog today.

I wonder if that’s because there is a struggling author or writer out there who needs encouragement. If you do, continue reading. I’m going to share some of my writing journey. If you are following the release of my newest novel, The Next Target, you might have seen the over the top reviews, including Publishers Weekly and other respected reviewers. A feature on the USA Today blog, radio interviews and all kinds of other recognition for my work. You might be thinking, wow, will that ever be me? Hmm, keep reading. As readers often find in my novels, things aren’t always what they seem . . . [Read more…]

STRUGGLING WITH DIFFICULTIES?

Those of you who know me well know I have been

struggling with many difficulties over the past several years and especially in recent months as those difficulties insist on playing out in my life. I have been deeply disappointed by people I love, (how many times do I need the lesson that when I put my faith in man instead of God, I will always be disappointed?). My forty years  experience as a real estate broker that [Read more…]

IS TODAY THE DAY?

I woke up this morning wondering if today was the day

that something would break my way. Not that there haven’t been good things that have happened recently. There have been, and I praise His name for that. But that doesn’t diminish my desire for the things I hope and pray for that God has yet to birth. Things that have become a struggle.

This is an area of weakness in my life. [Read more…]

COUNT IT JOY

This morning I really needed words for my journey.

I needed encouraging words. You see I have been under constant attack for months. And I know why. It’s because God is prospering my ministry, A Voice for the Persecuted. I help Muslims who have converted to Christianity and are under the threat of death. Because of that Satan wages war against me, my family, my finances, and on and on. [Read more…]

Transformational or For a Purpose??

I’m going to ask you that question in a few minutes.

I write books for a purpose. I pray God can use them in some small way to transform lives and further his kingdom. I mean by that, being a vessel for the Holy Spirit by sparking something in the reader that makes them ponder the spiritual dilemma the character or characters are facing. Sometimes I engage the reader directly, like I do with the tagline in my novel, The Next Target, releasing June 1 . . . Would you share your faith if it would cost you your life?

All my books deal with social, political, and spiritual issues that [Read more…]

WE NEED WORDS FOR OUR JOURNEY – Encouragement

My agent, Natasha Kern, is always encouraging me. And she recently pointed out the following:

Creative and imaginative people are often not recognized by their contemporaries.  In fact, often they are not recognized in school by their teachers either.  History is full of illustrations.  Consider these:

Einstein was four years old before he could speak and seven before he could read. He was turned down for a number of jobs in physics.   And is brilliant wife, Mileva, was rejected even more as a woman aspiring to work in physics.

Beethoven’s music teacher once said of him, “As a composer, he is hopeless.” [Read more…]
